Hi, I’m Kevin, the driving instructor behind ADIZY.
I’ve been a driving instructor for over 12 years, teaching pupils and students and dealing with the everyday admin that comes with running a driving instruction business.
I created ADIZY because I wanted a simple driving instructor app that could keep the important parts of my working day organised in one place — without becoming complicated or expensive.
ADIZY is designed for ADIs and PDIs who want an easy way to manage their pupils, driving lessons, diary, lesson notes, progress and prepaid lesson credit.
Why I created ADIZY
As a working driving instructor, I know how much information we have to keep track of.
Which pupils are booked in today? What did we cover during their previous driving lesson? What needs more work? What was the goal for their next lesson? How is their driving progressing? How much prepaid lesson credit do they have remaining?
Most driving instructors don’t spend their day sitting behind a desk. We’re out teaching students, travelling between lessons and often dealing with our admin in the few minutes we have available between pupils.
That’s why I wanted ADIZY to be quick and straightforward to use.
It brings together the everyday tools an instructor needs, including a driving lesson diary, pupil management, lesson records, progress tracking, lesson notes, enquiries and simple prepaid lesson credit tracking.
Built around real driving lessons
ADIZY hasn’t been created by someone trying to guess how driving instructors work.
I’m still a working driving instructor, teaching learner drivers in Exeter and dealing with the same day-to-day challenges as other ADIs and PDIs. I also run Exeter Automatic Lessons, my automatic driving tuition business in Exeter.
That has influenced how ADIZY is designed.
For example, lesson notes aren’t there simply to create another record. They help you record what was covered, what went well, what needs work and the goal for the next lesson, so you can quickly pick up where you left off when you next teach that pupil.
The aim is to spend less time dealing with administration and more time concentrating on your students and their driving.
Simple pupil and student management
Whether you call them pupils, students or learner drivers, keeping accurate records becomes increasingly difficult as your diary gets busier.
ADIZY gives ADIs and PDIs one place to manage their learner information, upcoming driving lessons, lesson history, progress and notes.
It’s designed particularly with independent driving instructors in mind — instructors who want useful tools without having to run complicated driving school management software.
Affordable for ADIs and PDIs
I’ve deliberately kept ADIZY affordable at £3.99 per month.
I don’t want independent driving instructors or new PDIs to feel they need an expensive software subscription simply to organise their pupils and lessons.
ADIZY isn’t trying to become accounting software or an enormous driving school management system.
The goal is much simpler:
Help driving instructors stay organised, keep useful pupil records and manage their working day more easily.
ADIZY is continuing to develop
ADIZY is live, but I’m still improving it.
Because I’m an instructor myself, I can develop ADIZY around real situations that happen during a normal working week. Feedback from other ADIs and PDIs will also play an important part in deciding what gets improved or added next.
I don’t want to add features simply to make the feature list longer.
I’d rather keep ADIZY simple and concentrate on features that genuinely make life easier for driving instructors.
